Homestead, Built for Sport

NASCAR's championship weekend returns to Homestead-Miami Speedway from November 6 to 8, and the Homestead Championship Rodeo follows from January 29 to 31. Big moments in sport keep coming to Homestead, and Sports Performance Hub is building what comes next, right here.

This is a big season for sport in Homestead. From November 6 to 8, NASCAR's Championship Weekend is back at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the first time since 2019, with the Cup Series, the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series and the Craftsman Truck Series all crowning their champions. NASCAR now rotates its championship between marquee tracks, and this year it chose Homestead.

Then, from January 29 to 31, the Homestead Championship Rodeo returns for its 78th year, following record attendance in 2026. A local tradition since 1949, it's the southernmost rodeo in the continental United States and the only PRCA-sanctioned rodeo in Miami-Dade County.

Both events tell the same story about this city. The Speedway was built as part of Homestead's comeback after Hurricane Andrew, and the rodeo has missed only one year in its history: 1993, the year after the storm.

Sports Performance Hub is building here too. It's planned as a place where young athletes will train, study and compete, and where families will come to play. The goal reaches beyond the field: developing complete people, ready to lead in whatever path they choose.

SPH is being built with the community in mind. Alongside the fields and courts, the plan includes public park space for families from Homestead and South Dade, a place to play, train and spend time together. Construction is already underway, starting with the first fields.

NASCAR and the rodeo bring Homestead some of its biggest weekends of the year. SPH is meant for the rest of the year: a place where kids from Homestead and South Dade can grow up playing.

If you're heading to the track this weekend, enjoy the racing and welcome NASCAR back to Homestead. To follow what SPH is building here, read from the Site or follow us on Instagram.
